Guided Walks in the
North York Moors
National Park

Discover the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors with a guided walk tailored for you, whatever your fitness level.   Below are a sample of some of the iconic walks we provide, however we can also cater for Coastal walks between Scarborough and Saltburn and can explore some of the more remote dales as well.

Man On The Moor at Castleton Rigg.

Falling Foss & Maybeck

The walk follows Maybeck to the waterfall of Falling Foss by Midge Hall, the Hermitage cave, and Littlebeck. Or we can climb up out of the dale and walk along old byways to Newton Plantation if you have a full day.

A walk from Castleton, through Danby dale and then climbing up out of the dale, with great views over the moors.  For a full day, we can incorporate Little Fryup Dale, Esk Dale and part of the Esk Valley Way.  We can also visit the sculpture of the Seated Man by Sean Henry  (Man on the Moor).  It is 3 meters high and made of Bronze.   The statute looks over Westerdale.

A walk around Rosedale, on the disused iron ore railway line, visiting the old iron ore mines and quarries.  A longer walk would incorporate the village of Rosedale which has fabulous tea rooms. A very scenic walk.

Captain Cooks Monument & Roseberry Topping

Depending on fitness, we can climb Roseberry Topping or admire it from Newton Moor, and then walk over the moors to Captain Cooks, coming back via Percy’s cross to Guisborough Woods.  Great views over the Cleveland Hills, moors and Teesside bay.

The TV series Heartbeat was filmed in this village.  There are walks covering the Roman Road, Mallayan Spout, moors and woods.  We can also include a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train to Grosmont and walk back to Goathland.

Hole of Horcum

A great half day walk to Skelton Tower, with views over the North York Moors and around to Levisham village.  We then walk through the vast crater of Hole of Horcum and climb out.  For a days walk, we can include the Bridge stones Nature Reserve, Dovedale and the village of Lockton.

Our costs are £55 for a half day and £90 for a full day, but this will depend on numbers and location of walk.  Please contact us on 07774844921 for a quote or email us.  We only walk with one guide per 8 walkers.  If it is a larger party we can provide 2 guides, where one will act as a back marker for safety reasons.
