Nordic walking is a walking technique that can be used on a variety of terrains. It does not require expensive clothing or equipment.
It is a specific way of walking with 2 poles which are set behind you and planted in the ground to help propel you forward. By engaging the upper body muscles, you have a total body workout.
It is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

Do I Need Equipment?
All you need is yourself plus a pair of sturdy flat shoes or trainers, a coat, hat & gloves if it is cold.
Coast and Moors Nordic Walking will provide poles while you learn the technique and also while you experience some walks with us. Once you realise it is for you, we will offer advice on what sort of poles will suit you.
